Learning to Shift a Position

by | Feb 17, 2023 | Artistic Musings

The last pieces ready on the new Hoover Dam bridge arch.

Learning to shift a position is more difficult than you think. The Studio building and property sold almost exactly a year ago. The last year has been full of changes, stretching and trying something new. A new identity without the Studio, a new job in a totally different arena, doing things outside my comfort zone. And the big one. Working on relationships.  Spouses, friendships, and family all hit bumps and bruises sometimes.

Raising the Bar

Isn’t that the role of an artist, too? Raising the bar, trying new things, attempting a new medium, pushing and pulling to expand the limits of your knowledge and skill. I love to see and hear from artists who are successful and I really love to hear from artists who are finding themselves in their art. Looking at the world in a new and different way brings a refreshed outlook and approach to art and life.  I have loved to watch my friend Shelby with the Pantless Potter find her true calling in clay and pottery. Her stuff is AMAZING.  Watch for an Adventure video as we try our hand with clay and visit her studio.

The Peace of Colorado.

Follow along with me as I journey through my quest for who I am, how ART and learning to shift a position can play a bigger part in my life, and how I yearn to experience the adventure of life.  The Peace of Art.  It is what makes my SOUL sing.
